A method of producing a coreless roll from a web of fibre-based material, particularly soft crêpe paper or some other nonwoven material, for instance cleaning paper, kitchen paper or toilet paper. The web (2) is wound onto a non-expandable winding-on axle (3) having a diameter of between 35-100mm. In order to facilitate withdrawal of the axle from the roll after winding the web onto the roll, a friction- reducing agent (4) is applied to the axle or to the first turn or turns of the web. This agent may be water, to which a surfactant or some other lubricant is optionally added or oil, triglyceride, silicone, TeflonTM or the like. The axle (2) may be heated, either electrically or with the aid of steam, in conjunction with applying the agent, therewith further reducing the friction between web and axle.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un rouleau à partir d'une bande en matière fibreuse, plus particulièrement du papier crêpé doux ou toute autre matière non tissée, telle que du papier d'essuyage, du papier-ménage ou du papier hygiénique. La bande (2) est enroulée sur un axe d'enroulement non consommable (3) présentant un diamètre de 35 à 100 mm. Afin de faciliter le retrait de l'axe du rouleau après l'enroulement de la bande autour de celui-ci, un agent réduisant la friction (4) est appliqué sur celui-ci ou sur le ou les premières spires de la bande. Cet agent peut être de l'eau dans laquelle un agent tensio-actif ou tout autre lubrifiant a été éventuellement ajouté, ou de l'huile, du triglycéride, du silicone, du Téflon<TM> ou l'équivalent. L'axe (2) peut être chauffé électriquement ou à l'aide de vapeur, l'agent étant appliqué simultanément de manière à réduire la friction entre la bande et l'axe.
