A method and system for processing an input seismic record (1) to suppress noise energy, for example multiple energy, and to enhance signal. A primary signal component is determined from an input seismic record (1). A residual record (5) is obtained from the input seismic record and the determined primary component record (2), for example, by determining a difference of the two records. A next primary signal component record (9) is then obtained from the residual record. The primary component record and the next primary component record are combined (10) to form a reconstructed record (11). A subsequent residual record may then be obtained and further primary signal components extracted.

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de traitement d'un enregistrement sismique entré afin de supprimer l'énergie sonore, par exemple l'énergie multiple, et afin d'améliorer les signaux.
