The invention provides a process of improving the viscosity stability upon storage at temperatures of 25 ~C or more but below 40 ~C of a fabric softening composition comprising: (a) a 8 to 50 % by weight of a cationic fabric softening agent; and (b) perfume by the inclusion of 3.5 % to 15 % by weight of an emulsified silicone, based upon the total amount of the composition, which has been emulsified with one or more cationic surfactants. In one aspect, the viscosity of the silicone before emulsification is from 10,000 cSt to 400,000 cSt, preferably from 20,000 cSt to 350,000 cSt, more preferably from 25,000 cSt to 250,000 cSt and the emulsion is a macro-emulsion. In another aspect, the median emulsified silicone droplet size is at least 0.2 µm, preferably at least 0.25 µm, more preferably at least 0.39 µm, preferably also no greater than 25 µm.

L'invention concerne un procédé qui permet d'améliorer la stabilité en viscosité de compositions adoucissantes au stockage, à des températures supérieures ou égales à 25 ·C mais inférieures à 40· C. Lesdites compositions comprennent: (a) entre 8 et 50 %, en poids, d'adoucisseur cationique; et (b) du parfum. Le procédé consiste à incorporer entre 3,5 % et 15 %, en poids, de silicium émulsionné, par rapport au poids total de la composition, l'émulsification résultant de l'utilisation d'un ou plusieurs tensioactifs cationiques. Selon un aspect, la viscosité du silicium avant émulsification est comprise entre 10 000 cSt et 400 000 cSt, de préférence entre 20 000 cSt et 350 000 cSt, et de préférence encore entre 25 000 cSt et 250 000 cSt, et l'émulsion est une macro-émulsion. Selon un autre aspect, la taille moyenne d'une gouttelette de silicium émulsionné est d'au moins 0,2 µm, de préférence au moins 0,25 µm, de préférence encore au moins 0,39 µm, et de préférence aussi elle est inférieure à 25 µm.
