This invention is generally concerned with methods, apparatus and computer program code for terrain correction for geophysical surveys, in particular potential field surveys. A method of terrain correction for a geophysical survey, the method comprising: capturing a multi-or hyperspectral image of a region to be surveyed; determining a surface geological composition of said surveyed region using said captured image multi-or hyperspectral image; determining terrain correction data for said geophysical survey using said determined surface geological composition; and using said terrain correction data for performing said terrain correction for said geophysical survey.
Cette invention concerne en général des procédés, un appareil et un code de programme informatique s'appliquant à la correction de terrain pour des levés géophysiques, notamment des levés potentiels sur le terrain. Le procédé de correction de trrain de levé géophysique consiste à : capturer une image multi ou hyper spectrale d'une région à étudier; déterminer une composition géologique de surface de la région étudiée à l'aide de l'image capturée ou à partir de l'image multi ou hyper spectrale; déterminer des données de correction de terrain pour le levé géophysique à l'aide de la composition géologique de surface déterminée et utiliser ces données de correction de terrain pour effectuer la correction terrain pour le levé géophysique.
