The present invention relates to a method of treating an acute vascular disorder in a mammal, said method comprising orally administering to said mammal, upon demand, an effective amount of a steroid to said mammal, said steroid being selected from the group consisting of: substances represented by formula (I), in which R1, R2, R3, R4 independent ly are a hydrogen atom, a hydroxyl group or an alkoxy group with 1-5 carbon atoms; each of R5, R6, R7 is a hydroxyl group; no more than 3 of R1, R2, R3, R4 are hydrogen atoms; precursors capable of liberating a substance according to the aforementioned formula when used in the present method; and mixtures of one or more of the aforementioned substances and/or precursors.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'un trouble vasculaire aigu chez un mammifère, ledit procédé comprenant l'étape consistant à administrer oralement audit mammifère, à la demande, une quantité efficace d'un stéroïde, ledit stéroïde étant sélectionné dans le groupe constitué : de substances représentées par la formule (I) (dans laquelle R1, R2, R3 et R4 sont chacun indépendamment un atome d'hydrogène, un groupe hydroxyle ou un groupe alcoxy ayant 1-5 atomes de carbone ; chacun de R5, R6 et R7 est un groupe hydroxyle ; pas plus de 3 de R1, R2, R3 et R4 sont des atomes d'hydrogène) ; de précurseurs capables de libérer une substance selon la formule susmentionnée lorsqu'ils sont utilisés dans le présent procédé ; et de mélanges d'une ou plusieurs des substances susmentionnées et/ou d'un ou plusieurs des précurseurs susmentionnés.
