A method of validating an encrypted message comprises; (a) representing the message (P) as a message polynomial (mi); (b) encrypting the message polynomial (mi) to form a cipher polynomial (ei); (c) hashing first and second hash function inputs representative of the message polynomial and the cipher polynomial to create one or more hash outputs (Bi); and (d) transmitting to a recipient both an encrypted message defined by the cipher polynomial and the said one or more hash outputs. The method is particularly applicable to public key cryptosystems.
L'invention concerne un procédé de validation d'un message crypté. Ce procédé consiste à (a) représenter le message (P) comme un message polynomial (m¿i?); (b) crypter ledit message polynomial (m¿i?) en vue de composer un chiffre polynomial (e¿i?); (c) hacher les première et seconde entrées de fonction de hachage représentant le message polynomial et le chiffre polynomial, afin de créer une ou plusieurs sortie(s) de hachage (B¿i?); (d) transmettre à un destinataire à la fois le message crypté défini par le chiffre polynomial et ladite/lesdites sortie(s) de hachage. Ce procédé s'applique en particulier aux systèmes cryptographiques à clé révélée.
