A method to produce a decay resistant and weatherproof wooden product (11) and to its qualities like hardwood, for instance teak, in compressing and heating wood block (1) into a wanted shape. In the method a dried wood block (1) is compressed at least in one direction and the compressed wood block (1 kept in compressed shape, for instance between walls (6); (7), and shifted into a heating chamber, which to its cross-section is a closed chamber of predetermined shape and free from oxygen, whereby still in the said chamber the temperature of timber block (11) is quickly raised to 210-390~C and the timber block kept tight under controlled compression in each direction and that the timber block (11), still under compression, is quickly and controllably cooled, for instance placing it in a space between cooling walls (8).
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un produit en bois (11) résistant à la détérioration et aux intempéries, et présentant des propriétés analogues à celles d'un bois dur, par exemple le bois de teck. Ce procédé consiste à comprimer et à chauffer un bloc en bois (1) pour obtenir une forme voulue. Dans ce procédé, un bloc en bois séché (1) est comprimé au moins dans une direction, et ce bloc de bois comprimé (1) est maintenu dans sa forme comprimée, par exemple, entre des parois (6, 7), puis il est placé dans une chambre de chauffage, laquelle chambre étant d'une forme prédéterminée, fermée au niveau de sa partie transversale et exempte d'oxygène. Dans cette chambre, la température d'un bloc de bois (11) s'élève rapidement à une température atteignant entre 210 et 390 ·C, lequel bloc de bois étant serré en continu, et subissant une compression commandée, dans chaque direction, et dans ces conditions de compression, ce bloc (11) est rapidement refroidi de manière pouvant être commandée, par exemple en plaçant ce bloc dans un espace situé entre des parois de refroidissement (8).
