The present invention concerns a microporous crystalline silico-alumino- phosphate RUW-18, the theoretical composition of which, on a water-free bast after synthesis and calcination, is: H x Si x Al y P z O 2 where x has a value between 0.005 and 0.1 and y and z are values between 0.4 and 0.6. The product has an AEI structure and possesses acidic properties. A procedure for manufacturing the product is also described. RUW-18 is suitable as a sorbent and as a catalyst in the manufacture of olefins from methanol.

Silico-alumino-phosphate cristallin microporeux (RUW-18) dont la composition chimique, sur une base anhydre après synthèse et calcination, est la suivante: HxSixAlyPzO2, où x a une valeur comprise entre 0,005 et 0,1 et y et z ont des valeurs comprises entre 0,4 et 0,6. Le produit a une structure AEI et présente des propriétés acides. On a également prévu un procédé de fabrication du produit. Le RUW-18 est utilisable comme sorbant et comme catalyseur dans la fabrication d'oléfines à partir du méthanol.
