The present invention relates to a mixer for mixing two fluids, the mixer comprising a power source (5) with a rotating transmission shaft (7), a hollow rotor (6) to be submerged in a first fluid (8) and arranged to rotate with the shaft, wherein at least one end of the rotor comprises an opening or openings for supply of a second fluid (9) to the hollow rotor (6), and jet openings (10) are provided in the side surface of the rotor through which the second fluid (9) is discharged into the first fluid (8) surrounding the rotor. To achieve a better operating efficiency, the mixer has a tight liquid seal (14) shaped to cover and isolate substantially the entire portion of the rotor that is above the first fluid.
La présente invention concerne un mélangeur destiné au mélange de deux fluides. Ce mélangeur dont une source d'énergie (5) met en rotation un arbre de transmission (7), comporte un rotor creux (6) plongeant dans un premier fluide (8) et agencé de façon à entrer en rotation solidairement avec l'arbre. L'une au moins des extrémités du rotor présente au moins un orifice permettant d'amener un second fluide dans le rotor creux (6) un second fluide. Des orifices de jets (10) ménagés dans la surface latérale du rotor permettent au second fluide (9) de traverser le rotor et de s'évacuer dans le premier fluide (8) entourant le rotor. Pour une meilleure efficacité de fonctionnement, le mélangeur comporte un élément (14) étanche au liquide et dont la forme lui fait recouvrir et isoler sensiblement la totalité de la partie du rotor qui se trouve au dessus du premier fluide.
