The modular heated cover (700) is disclosed with a first pliable outer layer (806) and a second pliable outer layer (806), wherein the outer layers provide durable protection in an outdoor environment, an electrical heating element (702) between the first and the second outer layers, the electrical heating element (702) configured to convert electrical energy to heat energy, and a thermal insulation layer (804) positioned above the active electrical heating element. Beneficially, such a device (700) provides radiant heat, weather isolation, temperature insulation, and solar heat absorption efficiently and cost effectively. The modular heated cover (700) quickly and efficiently removes ice, snow, and frost from surfaces, and penetrates soil and other material to thaw the material to a suitable depth. A plurality of modular heated covers (700) can be connected on a single 120 Volt circuit or on a single 240 Volt circuit protected by a 20 Amp breaker.
L'invention concerne une couverture thermique (700) modulaire comprenant une première couche extérieure (806) pliable et une seconde couche extérieure (806) pliable, lesdites couches extérieures fournissant une protection durable dans un environnement extérieur; un élément de chauffage (702) électrique disposé entre la première et la seconde couche extérieures, ledit élément de chauffage (702) électrique étant configuré afin de convertir l'énergie électrique en énergie thermique; et une couche d'isolation (804) thermique positionnée au-dessus de l'élément de chauffage électrique actif. Ce dispositif (700) permet de fournir, de manière efficace et bon marché, une chaleur radiante, une isolation des intempéries, une isolation thermique et une absorption de chaleur solaire. La couverture thermique (700) modulaire élimine rapidement et efficacement la glace, la neige et le gel recouvrant des surfaces et pénètre dans le sol et un autre matériau afin de dégeler ledit matériau à une profondeur appropriée. Une pluralité de couvertures thermiques (700) modulaires peuvent être connectées à un seul circuit de 120 volts ou à un seul circuit de 240 volts protégé par coupe-circuit 20 ampères.
