A monoclonal antibody having high affinity to the cardiac isoform of human myosin light chains is described. The monoclonal antibody is prepared against a synthetic peptide from the amino terminal end of myosin light chain-1. The monoclonal antibody can be used as a reagent in an immunoassay system to identify blood, serum or plasma levels of myosin light chains. Such an immunoassay system can be used for diagnosing and quantifying myocardial necrosis and infarction.
L'invention concerne un anticorps monoclonal présentant une affinité élevée vis-à-vis de l'isoforme cardiaque de chaînes légères de myosine humaine. L'anticorps monoclonal est préparé contre un peptide synthétique tiré de l'extrémité amino-terminale de la chaîne légère 1 de la myosine. On peut utiliser l'anticorps monoclonal comme réactif dans un système d'immunodosage afin d'identifier des taux de chaînes légères de myosine dans le sang, le sérum ou le plasma. On peut utiliser un tel système d'immunodosage dans le diagnostic de l'infarctus du myocarde et la quantification de la nécrose myocardique.
