A method of processing a phone call from a caller (112) in a network-based telephone system (100), the network-based telephone system (100) including a plurality of switches (108) and an intelligent peripheral (IP) (104) for interfacing the plurality of switches (108) to a service control point (SCP) (102). When a phone call is received at one of the plurality of switches (108), the call is sent to the IP (104). The IP (104) then requests that the SCP (102) perform a call processing request. Service logic within the SCP (102) is accessed in order to process the phone call according to the call processing request. The service logic then requests and receives account information from one or more external systems (106). The phone call is routed to a selected telephone (117) based on the account information received from the one or more external systems (106). The received account information is routed to the selected telephone (117).
La présente invention concerne un procédé de traitement d'appel téléphonique émanant d'un appelant (112) dans un système téléphonique à structure de réseau (100), ledit système téléphonique à structure de réseau (100) comportant une pluralité de commutateurs (108) ainsi qu'un périphérique intelligent (IP) (104) servant d'interface entre la pluralité de commutateurs (108) et un point de commande de service (SCP) (102). Lorsqu'un appel téléphonique est reçu par un des multiples commutateurs (108), l'appel est envoyé vers le périphérique intelligent (IP) (104). Celui-ci demande alors au point de commande de service (SCP) (102) d'effectuer une requête de traitement d'appel. La logique de service du point de commande de service (SCP) (102) est sollicitée afin de traiter l'appel téléphonique conformément à la requête de traitement d'appel. Ensuite, la logique de service demande puis reçoit des informations de compte d'un (ou de plusieurs) système(s) externe(s) (106). L'appel téléphonique est acheminé vers un téléphone (117) sélectionné en fonction des informations de compte reçues du (des) système(s) externe(s) (106). Les informations de compte reçues sont acheminées vers le téléphone sélectionné (117).
