A crystalline, hydrated form of the sodium salt of 3-pyridyl-1- hydroxyethylidene-1,l-bisphosphonic acid contains from 6.4 up to 22 weight % of sodium, based on the anhydrous substance, and 15 up to 23 weight % of crystalline water if the sodium content is lower than 7.5 weight %, or 4.5 up to 18 weight % if the sodium content is higher than 7.5 weight %.
L'invention concerne une forme hydratée cristalline de sel de sodium d'acide 2-pyridyl-1-hydroxyéthylidène-1,1-biphosphonique contenant entre 6,4 et 22% en poids de sodium sur la base de la substance anhydre, et entre 15 et 23% en poids d'eau cristalline si la teneur en sodium est inférieure à 7,5% en poids, ou entre 4,5 et 18% en poids si la teneur en sodium est supérieure à 7,5% en poids.
