In a waist belt supporting a load, (i.e. backpack, tree planting bags, pants, etc) it is known that the pressure exerted by the belt is applied all around the waist of the wearer including the lower abdominal area. In this invention, the front of the belt is bridged away from the lower abdominal area of the wearer by a rigid or semi-rigid bridging device and fastened over this bridge; or simply by a buckle shaped in such manner as to be this bridging device. In this way, the weight holding belt may be fastened tight around the waist of the wearer omitting any pressure on the lower abdominal area of the wearer. This invention provides better comfort and better health for the user of such device while wearing a belt by re-routing the pressure of the belt away and around the lower abdominal area of the user, therefore allowing better blood circulation to and from body parts bellow the waist in effect of a diminution of constricting pressure to the main blood vessels passing through lower abdominal area of user, furthermore, the use of such device does not inhibit the functions of inner organs otherwise constricted by the use of a belt with said device. The device may have padding to its extremities in order to sit comfortably against the pelvic bone protruding extremities. The device may come in different sizes and/or have a number of slits at its ends where the belt passes through or is attached in order to adapt to various body sizes; the belt itself may be partly rigid and left open in the front.
