A pneumatic agricultural tire having a unique non-directional tread is disclosed. The tread has a plurality of lugs. The lugs are arranged in sets of at least three preferably four lugs having substantially parallel lug centerlines, the set being repeated circumferentially around the tread. The set extends along a line through the lug centers in a substantially straight line from tread edge to tread edge. The centerline of each lug are substantially parallel and form an acute angle .theta. with the equatorial plane of about 45°. The lugs respectively having a surface with a length and a width, the length being three times the width.
