Techniques for processing gene expression data and predicting gene relationships are provided. More specifically, a method for processing gene expression ratios may include discretizing a first expression ratio for a first gene and a second expression ratio for a second gene for each of a plurality of experiments into one of three indications, calculating the probability that the combination of the discretized expression ratios for each of the plurality of experiments arises by random chance, and determining whether the first gene and the second gene are related.

La présente invention concerne des techniques de traitement de données d'expression génétique et de prédiction de relations génétiques. L'invention concerne plus particulièrement une méthode de traitement de rapports d'expression génétique pouvant consister à : discrétiser un premier rapport d'expression pour un premier gène et un second rapport d'expression pour un second gène pour chaque expérience de la pluralité d'expériences en une des trois indications, calculer la probabilité que la combinaison des rapports d'expression discrétisés pour chaque expérience de la pluralité d'expériences survienne de manière aléatoire et déterminer si le premier gène et le second gène sont associés.
