Disclosed is a bone formation enhancing agent comprising an RANKL-acting molecule which can enhance the differentiation, maturation or calcification of an osteoblast or a cell capable of being differentiated into an osteoblast. Specifically disclosed is a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment or prevention of a metabolic bone disease accompanied by the decrease in bone mass, which comprises, as an active ingredient, a compound which can act on an RANKL located on an osteoblast or a cell capable of being differentiated into an osteoblast to accelerate the differentiation, proliferation, maturation or calcification of the osteoblast or the cell capable of being differentiated into an osteoblast.

La présente invention concerne un agent qui facilite la formation osseuse et contient une molécule agissant sur le récepteur RANKL. L'agent est susceptible d'accélérer la différenciation, la maturation ou la calcification d'un ostéoblaste ou d'une cellule susceptible d'être différenciée en ostéoblaste. L'invention concerne en particulier une composition pharmaceutique permettant de traiter ou de prévenir une maladie osseuse métabolique associée à la réduction de la masse osseuse, le principe actif de la composition étant un composé qui peut agir sur un RANKL présent sur un ostéoblaste ou sur une cellule susceptible d'être différenciée en ostéoblaste, pour accélérer la différenciation, la prolifération, la maturation ou la calcification de l'ostéoblaste ou de la cellule susceptible d'être différenciée en ostéoblaste.
