The present invention relates generally to novel haemopoietin receptors, or components or parts thereof and to a method for cloning genetic sequences encoding same. More particularly, the subject invention is directed to recombinant or synthetic haemopoietin receptors or components or parts thereof. The receptor molecules or components or parts thereof and their genetic sequences of the present invention are useful in the development of a wide range of agonists, antagonists and therapeutics and diagnostic reagents based on ligand interaction with its receptor.

L'invention concerne de façon générale de nouveaux récepteurs de l'hémopoïétine, ou des constituants ou parties de ceux-ci, ainsi qu'un procédé qui permet de cloner des séquences génétiques qui les codent. Plus précisément, elle concerne des récepteurs recombinés ou synthétiques de l'hémopoïétine ou des constituants ou parties de ceux-ci. Les molécules réceptrices de la présente invention, ou leurs constituants ou parties, et leurs séquences génétiques, permettent de créer une large gamme d'agonistes, d'antagonistes et de réactifs thérapeutiques et diagnostiques relevant de l'interaction d'un ligand avec son récepteur.
