A nozzle device comprises a nozzle (1) having an outlet (2), an inlet (3) and a passage (4) extending between the inlet and outlet. The passage is defined by at least two parts (7, 8), which are moveable relative to each other and arranged to be able to be moved away from each other by means of relative movement so as to widen the passage.
