The present invention relates to a package (100) for a flexible product wherein the package maintains the product in a desired configuration without kinking and allows for easy withdrawal of the product from the package. In a preferred embodiment, the present invention relates to a package for a medical catheter, the package having ridges (170) providing longitudinal stability to the package without interfering with the ability to easily remove the catheter from the package. The present invention further relates to methods of packaging a flexible product using the package according to the present invention.
La présente invention concerne un emballage (100) pour un produit flexible qui permet de maintenir ce produit dans la configuration voulue en évitant l'entortillement, tout en permettant de sortir facilement le produit de l'emballage. Cette invention convient plus particulièrement à l'emballage d'un cathéter médical. L'emballage comprend des arêtes (170) qui lui assurent une stabilité longitudinale sans toutefois compromettre la capacité de retirer facilement le cathéter de l'emballage. La présente invention concerne également les méthodes de conditionnement d'un produit flexible en se servant de l'emballage dont il est question dans la présente invention.
