A pari-mutuel system, and more particularly, a pari-mutuel system relating to a real time virtual horse racing game wherein the outcome of such race is determined by a random number generator such that each competitor of the race has a statistically equal chance of winning. Players make wagers on a specific wager type wherein each wager type is associated with a pool. A predetermined portion of all wagers made is retained by the house and another predetermined portion of wagers made for specific wager types is redistributed to into a pool and wherein the odds of winning are lowest in comparison to the other pools.
L'invention concerne un système de pari mutuel et, plus particulièrement, un système de pari mutuel ayant trait à un jeu de courses de chevaux virtuel en temps réel, dans lequel le résultat de la course est déterminé par un générateur de nombre aléatoire, de telle manière que chaque concurrent de la course ait une chance statistiquement égale de gagner. Les joueurs font des paris sur un type de pari spécifique, dans lequel chaque type de pari est associé à un pool de joueurs. Une portion prédéterminée de tous les paris effectués est retenue par l'établissement et une autre portion prédéterminée de paris effectués pour des types de paris spécifiques est redistribuée en un pool où les cotes du gagnant d'un tel pool sont les plus basses comparativement aux autres pools.
