This invention is a pharmaceutical composition that inhibits the growth of cancers and tumors in mammals, particularly in human and warm blooded animals. The composition is also effective against viruses. The composition contains N- phosphonoglycine derivatives which are systemic herbicides. The composition can also contain N-phosphonoglycine derivatives in combination with chemotherapeutic agents for treatment of cancers and tumors. Optionally potentiators can be included. N-phosphonoglycine derivatives with a potentiator can be used to treat viral infections.
Cette invention concerne une composition pharmaceutique qui inhibe le développement de cancers et de tumeurs chez les mammifères (en particulier chez les humains) et chez d'autres animaux à sang chaud. La composition est également efficace contre les virus. La composition contient des dérivés N-phosphonoglycine qui sont des herbicides systémiques. La composition peut également contenir des dérivés N-phosphonoglycine en combinaison avec des agents chimiothérapeutiques pour le traitement de cancers et de tumeurs. Des agents de potentialisation peuvent être présents. Les dérivés N-phosphonoglycine avec un agent de potentialisation peuvent être utilisés pour traiter des infections virales.
