ABSTRACT A PLANT AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING ELECTRIC POWER A method and apparatus for eliminating overmodulation in a power plant is provided. The power plant has a direct voltage network connected to at least one alternating voltage network through a station. The station is adapted to transmit power between the direct voltage network and the alternating voltage network and includes at least one converter. The converter is adapted to convertdirect voltage into alternating voltage and convert alternating voltage into direct voltage. The method comprises the steps of calculating a reference alternating voltage and measuring a direct voltage between two poles of a direct voltage side of the station. The reference voltage is divided by half of the direct voltage and this quotient is compared with a predetermined value. When the quotient exceeds the predetermined value, a first signal is sent to a means for controlling the converter. In response to receiving the first signal, the converter is controlled to increase consumption of reactive power on the alternating voltage side of the station.
L'invention a pour objet une méthode et une installation pour éliminer la modulation excessive dans une centrale d'énergie. La centrale d'énergie comporte un réseau en tension continue connecté à au moins un réseau en tension alternative dans une centrale. La centrale est adaptée pour convertir une tension continue en tension alternative et pour convertir une tension alternative en tension continue. La méthode comprend les étapes de calcul d'une tension alternative de référence et de mesure d'une tension continue entre deux pôles sur le côté en tension continue de la centrale. La tension de référence est divisée en la moitié de la tension continue et ce quotient est comparé à une valeur prédéterminée. Si le quotient dépasse la valeur prédéterminée, un premier signal est envoyé à un moyen de régulation du convertisseur. En réaction à la réception du premier signal, le convertisseur est régulé de manière à accroître la consommation de puissance réactive du coté en tension alternative de la centrale.
