A curable coating composition includes a plasticizing component. The plasticizing component includes an isocyanurate core and at least one low surface tension group pending from the isocyanurate core. The low surface tension group is selected from the group of a) a fatty chain includes at least 6 carbon atoms, b) a silicon- containing group having at least 1 silicon atom, c) a fluorocarbon, and combinations thereof. The low surface tension group may have from 0 to 3 cross-linkable functional groups pending therefrom. In addition to the plasticizing component, the curable coating composition further includes a resin component and a crosslinking agent that is reactive with the resin component. The curable coating composition including the plasticizing component is capable of forming a cured film that has resistance to both cracking and etching that, to date, has not been achieved with known plasticizing components. The cured film formed from the curable coating composition is also expected to have excellent scratch and mar resistance.
L'invention concerne une composition de revêtement durcissable qui contient un composant plastifiant. Le composant plastifiant contient un noyau isocyanurate et au moins un groupe à faible tension de surface rattaché au noyau isocyanurate. Le groupe à faible tension de surface est choisi parmi le groupe composé de: a) une chaîne grasse comprenant au moins 6 atomes de carbone, b) un groupe contenant du silicium possédant au moins 1 atome de silicium, c) un fluorocarbure, et des combinaisons de ceux-ci. Entre 0 et 3 groupes fonctionnels réticulables peuvent être rattachés au groupe à faible tension de surface. En plus du composant plastifiant, la composition de revêtement durcissable contient en outre un composant de résine et un agent réticulant réagissant avec le composant de résine. La composition de revêtement durcissable contenant le composant plastifiant est susceptible de former un film durci qui présente une résistance aux craquelures et à la gravure que, à ce jour, les composant plastifiants connus ne permettent pas d'obtenir. On s'attend également à ce que le film durci formé à partir de la composition de revêtement durcissable présente une excellente résistance à la rayure et à la détérioration.
