Vitrectomy device comprising a body (32) extended by a cannula (36). The cannula has a closed-off distal end (36a); it comprises a window (38) in its lateral wall close to said distal end. It accommodates a needle (40) which is moved with a reciprocating movement and which can periodically close off said window. The device additionally comprises suction means connected to the needle, and a double-acting actuator (44) provided with a movable piston (50) to control the movement of said needle. In said device, the needle is moved with a translational reciprocating movement in said cannula; said piston of the double-acting actuator is directly secured to said needle; hence, its movements allow the needle to be brought into a first position in which said needle closes off said window, and a second position in which the needle leaves said window open. This device allows a very precise control of the opening and closing times of the end of the cannula.
Dispositif de vitrectomie comprenant un corps (32) prolongé par une canule (36). La canule présente une extrémité distale (36a) obturée; elle comporte une fenêtre (38) dans sa paroi latérale à proximité de ladite extrémité distale. Elle abrite une aiguille (40), animée d'un mouvement alternatif et qui peut obturer périodiquement ladite fenêtre. Le dispositif comporte en outre des moyens d'aspiration raccordés à l'aiguille, et un vérin à double effet (44) muni d'un piston (50) mobile pour commander le mouvement de ladite aiguille. Dans ledit dispositif, l'aiguille est animée d'un mouvement alternatif de translation dans ladite canule; ledit piston du vérin à double effet est directement solidaire de ladite aiguille; ainsi, ses déplacements permettent d'amener l'aiguille dans une première position dans laquelle ladite aiguille obture ladite fenêtre et une deuxième position dans laquelle l'aiguille laisse ouverte ladite fenêtre. Ce dispositif permet un contrôle très précis des temps d'ouverture et de fermeture de l'extrémité de la canule.
