Disclosed is a urethane-based composition of value in surface coating applications, including treatment of glass or textiles, in adhesives and in the manufacture of a stabilized latex. The composition comprises a polyfunctional liquid urethane-containing adduct wherein said adduct contains as a first functional group at least one isocyanate moiety per molecule, and a second functional group per molecule which is not an isocyanate moiety and which is not reactive towards isocyanate functionality. The second functional group can comprise ester, nitrile, halogen, halocarbon, siloxyl, silyl, alkyne or alkene, or combinations of two or more thereof.

L'invention porte sur une composition à base d'uréthane destinée à être utilisée dans des applications de revêtement de surface, y compris dans le traitement du verre ou de textiles, dans les adhésifs et dans la fabrication d'un latex stabilisé. La composition comprend un produit d'addition renfermant de l'uréthane liquide polyfonctionnel, ce produit d'addition renfermant comme premier groupe polyfonctionnel au moins une fraction d'isocyanate par molécule, et un second groupe fonctionnel par molécule qui n'est pas une fraction d'isocyanate et qui ne réagit pas à la fonctionnalité isocyanate. Le second groupe fonctionnel peut comprendre ester, nitrile, halogène, halocarbure, siloxyle, silyle, alkyne ou alcène, ou des combinaisons de plus de deux de ceux-ci.
