Based in a new paradigm, addressing not merely a nuisance associated with operation and maintenance of internal-combustion engines using transmissions in vehicles, this device does more than replace "oily rags" and inventions that reflect no awareness of health and safety, the environment or the need for size, shape and color flexibility. It over-arches other devices to qualify for use in all sectors of the economy. To date, rags and inventions to clean din sticks were of limited utility. A broader perspective shows a universal need for greater flexibility and wider adoption. The device combines three variably- shaped and sized components: a molded polymer plastic casing (one with tongue-and-groove closure), special adhesive-backed, chemically-absorbent felt-like polyester-like polyester; and industrial-strength adhesive tape, double-sided and attached externally to the polymer casing. It can meet unique client "in situ" requirements overlooked to date. Volume production, using various molds and templates, occurs in a manufacturing setting.
