A respiratory exercise apparatus (10) for providing resistance and percussion during inspiration and expiration. The apparatus includes a main body (12) having an inner cavity (18), an orifice (22) in communication with the inner cavity, and at least one aperture (26) in communication with the cavity. A movable member (44) disposed relative to the main body. Upon movement of the member, the aperture (26) in the main body is opened and closed. In one embodiment, the member (44) has a plurality of circumferentially spaced apertures (62, 64) which can be of different sizes. The user can select different sized apertures to align to provide varying degrees of resistance. Moving the member during inspiration and expiration creates a percussion effect. The user can control movement of the member (44) with a lever (76) pivotally disposed within a mouthpiece (92) disposed over the orifice in the main body (12). The inner end of the lever (76) engages the member (44).
L'invention concerne un dispositif de gymnastique respiratoire (10) destiné à offrir une résistance ainsi qu'une force de percussion à l'inspiration et à l'expiration. Ce dispositif comprend un corps principal (12) ayant une cavité intérieure (18), un orifice (22) et une ouverture (26), au moins, communiquant tous deux avec la cavité. Lors des mouvements effectués par un organe mobile (44), se trouvant placé relativement au corps principal, l'ouverture du corps principal (26) s'ouvre et se ferme. L'extrémité intérieure de ce levier (76) entre en contact avec l'organe mobile (44).
