In a process and apparatus for the extrusion of a green body from a paste or suspension of particulate material in a liquid, the suspension is supplied to and substantially fills an extrusion chamber at a relatively low pressure. A high pressure is applied to the suspension on completion of filling whereby the suspension is forced through a moulding spaced with a dewatering section defined by at least partially liquid-permeable walls. A substantial part of the liquid is removed by establishing a pressure differential across at least parts of the wall that are permeable to said liquid, to form a non-flowable shaped body of the particulate material.

Cette invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un appareil pour l'extrusion d'un corps vert à partir d'une pâte ou d'une suspension de matériau particulaire dans un liquide, la suspension alimentant et remplissant une chambre d'extrusion à une pression relativement basse. Une pression élevée est appliquée à la suspension à la fin de l'opération de remplissage, ce qui force la suspension à passer à travers un moulage distant d'une section de séchage définie par des parois au moins partiellement perméables au liquide. Une partie substantielle du liquide est retirée par établissement d'un différentiel de pression à travers certaines parties au moins de la paroi qui sont perméables audit liquide, afin de former un corps façonné de matériau particulaire non coulant.
