This invention concerns a process for treating waste water, and other liquids, and in further aspect concerns an apparatus for the treatment of waste water. The invention may find application in a range of waste water plants ranging from the domestic to the largest municipal plants, and for the treatment of even the most polluted waste water. The invention also may find application in biotechnological processes. The apparatus comprises two or more aerator/filter elements (1, 2) and/or (19, 20) each of which has an associated pressurized gas supply (3, 4, 5, 6) and/or (37, 38, 46, 47) and an associated effluent drain (7, 8, 9, 10) and/or (35, 36, 44, 45). The supplies and drains are valved and controlled such that, in use, each element is alternately supplied with pressurized gas or drained. The invention also concerns a treatment plant comprising the treatment apparatus arranged in an array.
Cette invention, qui porte sur un procédé de traitement des eaux usées ainsi que celui d'autres liquides, concerne également un appareil permettant d'effectuer ce traitement. Le procédé peut être utilisé dans les stations de traitement des eaux usées, des installations à usage domestique aux installations de très grande échelle comme les stations municipales, ainsi que pour traiter toutes les eaux usées, y compris les plus polluées. On peut l'appliquer également à des processus relevant de la biotechnologie. L'appareil comporte deux aérateurs/filtres ou davantage (1, 2) et/ou (19, 20) à chacun desquels sont associées une alimentation en gaz sous pression (3, 4, 5, 6) et/ou (37, 38, 46, 47) ainsi que des canalisations d'écoulement d'effluents (7, 8, 9, 10) et/ou (35, 36, 44, 45). Les alimentations et les conduits d'écoulement sont pourvus de clapets et commandés de manière à ce que chacun de ces éléments soit alternativement alimenté en gaz sous pression ou drainé. L'invention concerne également une station de traitement pourvu d'une série d'appareils de traitement selon l'invention.
