The present invention refers to a process and installation for cooling air, particularly for cooling combustion air of gas turbines, in which the humidity contents of the air is first reduced in a dehumidifier (7, 7') by means of a first external fluid (4), then the air is cooled in a cooler (11, 11') by means of a second external fluid (12), reaching approximately the same initial dry bulb temperature and followed by cooling, after at least one dehumidification stage, the air being then rehumidified in a saturator (13).

L'invention concerne un procédé et une installation de refroidissement d'air, en particulier, de refroidissement de l'air de combustion de turbines à gaz, ledit procédé consistant d'abord à réduire la teneur en humidité dans un dispositif de suppression d'humidité (7, 7'), au moyen d'un premier fluide extérieur (4), puis à refroidir l'air dans un dispositif de refroidissement (11, 11'), au moyen d'un deuxième fluide extérieur (12), jusqu'à ce qu'il présente la même température thermométrique initiale, et à le refroidir, après au moins une étape de suppression d'humidité, puis à le réhumidifier dans un saturateur (13).
