A process for chlorinating ore, slag, mill scale, scrap, dust and other resources containing recoverable metals from the groups 4-6, 8-12, and 14 in the periodic table. The process comprises: a) forming a liquid fused salt melt consisting essentially of aluminum chloride and at least one other metal chloride selected from the group consisting of alkali metal chlorides and alkaline earth metal chlorides, wherein the aluminum chloride content in the liquid salt melt exceeds 10 % by weight; b) introducing the recoverable metal resources into said liquid salt melt: c) reacting the aluminum chloride as chlorine donor with said recoverable metal resource to form metal chlorides, which are dissolved in the salt melt; and d) recovering the formed metal chlorides from the salt melt.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de chloration de minerai, de scories, de calamine, de déchets, de poussières et autres ressources contenant des métaux récupérables des groupes 4 à 6, 8 à 12, et 14 du tableau périodique. Le procédé comprend : a) la formation dune fusion de sel liquide essentiellement constituée par du chlorure daluminium et au moins un autre chlorure de métal choisi dans le groupe constitué par les chlorures de métaux alcalins et les chlorures de métaux alcalino-terreux, la teneur en chlorure daluminium dans la fusion de sel liquide excédant 10% en poids ; b) lintroduction des ressources de métal récupérables dans ladite fusion de sel liquide : c) la réaction du chlorure daluminium en tant que donneur de chlore avec ladite ressource de métal récupérable pour former des chlorures de métaux, qui sont dissous dans la fusion de sel ; et d) la récupération des chlorures de métaux formés de la fusion de sel.
