A process for preparing a catalyst comprising silver, a rhenium component, and a rhenium co-promoter on a support, which process comprises - depositing the rhenium co-promoter on the support prior to or simultaneously with depositing silver on the support, and - depositing the rhenium component on the support after depositing silver on the support; the catalyst; and a process for preparing an olefin oxide by reacting an olefin with oxygen in the presence of the catalyst. They preferred rhenium co-promoter is tungsten.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de préparer un catalyseur comprenant de l'argent, un composant de rhénium et un co-promoteur de rhénium sur un support. Ledit procédé consiste à déposer le co-promoteur de rhénium sur le support avant ou simultanément au dépôt d'argent sur ledit support, et à déposer le composant de rhénium sur le support après dépôt de l'argent sur ce support. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de préparer un oxyde oléfinique par réaction d'une oléfine avec de l'oxygène en présence du catalyseur. Le co-promoteur de rhénium préféré est le tungstène.
