A process for preparing a mesoporous material comprises the step of preparing a sol and treating the sol material under supercritical fluid conditions. The treatment under supercritical fluid conditions forms an ordered mesoporous material. The sol may be applied to a substrate to form a mesoporous film and subsequently treating the film under supercritical fluid conditions. Alternatively the process may comprise directly treating the sol under supercritical fluid conditions to form a mesoporous powder material.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de préparer un matériau mésoporeux qui consiste à préparer un sol et à traiter le matériau sol dans des conditions fluidiques supercritiques. Le traitement dans de telles conditions permet de former un matériau mésoporeux ordonné. Le sol peut être appliqué à un substrat de façon à former un film mésoporeux et, par la suite, à traiter ledit film dans des conditions fluidiques supercritiques. Autre variante, le procédé peut consister à traiter directement le sol dans des conditions fluidiques supercritiques pour former un matériau pulvérulent mésoporeux.
