A process for separating a fibre suspension wherein undesired impurities, such as printing ink and other contaminating substances, are separated from the fibres in a flotation tank and the fibre suspension in admixture with gas is introduced into the tank via directed jets having a high inlet velocity. The tank has inlet openings for the mixture of suspension advantageously located at or close to the bottom of the tank and the jets of suspension are directed upwards, towards the free surface of the suspension in the flotation tank.
L'invention concerne un procédé pour séparer une suspension fibreuse. Selon ce procédé, les impuretés indésirables, comme l'encre d'impression et d'autres substances contaminantes sont séparées des fibres dans une cuve de flottation et la suspension fibreuse, mélangée à un gaz, est introduite dans la cuve sous forme de jets présentant une vitesse d'entrée élevée. La cuve présente des ouvertures d'entrée pour le mélange en suspension, placées de manière avantageuse, au niveau ou à proximité du fond de la cuve, et les jets de suspension sont dirigés vers le haut, en direction de la surface libre de la suspension dans la cuve de flottation.
