The invention relates to a process for stabilizing ester-containing plastics against degradation by heat and/or hydrolysis by the incorporation of sterically hindered isocyanate-terminated carbodiimides. The incorporable carbo- diimides produce an excellent anti-aging effect and do not give rise to volatile products, even at very high temperatures.
