The invention relates to a process for stabilizing the pH of a pulp suspension with buffering agents and to a process for producing paper from a stabilized pulp suspension. The alkalinity of the pulp suspension is increased by a combination of an alkali metal hydroxide feed and a carbon dioxide feed. Said feeds provide a significant buffering effect which stablilizes the pH of said pulp suspension for the paper making process.
L'invention concerne un procédé servant à stabiliser le pH d'une suspension de pâte à papier au moyen d'agents tampons et un procédé servant à fabriquer du papier à partir d'une suspension de pâte à papier stabilisée. On augmente l'alcalinité de la suspension de pâte à papier au moyen d'une combinaison d'une charge d'hydroxyde de métal alcalin et d'une charge de dioxyde de carbone. Ces charges créent un effet tampon important, ce qui stabilise le pH de ladite suspension de pâte à papier pour la fabrication du papier.
