A process for the preparation of an animal feed supplement based on a fermentation broth is disclosed, wherein the supplement contains wholly or predominantly a fermentation product and other constituents of the fermentation broth. The fermentation broth is granulated, compacted and dried in a fluidised bed in one step, whilst a sufficient amount of energy to obtain a desired particle diameter and a desired bulk density is introduced into the fluidised bed by mechanical means, in addition to the energy required to produce the fluidised bed. As a result, it is possible to prepare continuously, in a single process step, granules conforming to specifications of additives such as lysine, threonine or tryptophan using, in particular, raw fermentation broths as starting materials.

Méthode pour la préparation d'un complément alimentaire pour animaux, à base d'un bouillon de fermentation; le complément renferme uniquement ou principalement un produit de fermentation et d'autres constituants du bouillon. Ce dernier est granulé, compacté et séché en une seule étape dans un lit fluidisé, pendant qu'une quantité d'énergie suffisante pour obtenir le diamètre particulaire voulu et la masse volumique apparente recherchée est introduite dans le lit fluidisé par des moyens mécaniques, en plus de l'énergie requise pour former le lit fluidisé. Résultat : il est possible de produire en continu, en une seule étape, des granules conformes aux spécifications d'additifs comme la lysine, la thréonine ou le tryptophane, en utilisant au départ des bouillons bruts de fermentation.
