The present invention relates to a process for the production of no-carrier added 99Mo by neutron activation of 98Mo thereby reaching specific radioactivity which allow the use of such produced 99Mo as an option for the 99Mo produced by the fission of 235U. This has been achieved by taking advantage of the recoil of the 99Mo nuclei upon the capture of neutrons by the 98Mo containing compound. These recoiled nuclei are no longer chemically bound to the 98Mo containing compound allowing fur-ther specific separation. Preferred 98Mo containing compounds are molybdenum(0)hexacarbonyl [(Mo (CO) 6] and molybdenum (VI ) di oxodioxinate [C4H3 (O) -NC5H3) J2-MoO2.
La présente invention porte sur un procédé pour la production de 99Mo sans support ajouté par activation des neutrons de 98Mo, atteignant ainsi une radioactivité spécifique qui permet l'utilisation d'un tel 99Mo produit en tant qu'option pour le 99 Mo produit par la fission de 235U. Ceci a été obtenu en prenant en compte le recul des noyaux 99Mo lors de la capture des neutrons par le composé contenant 98Mo. Ces noyaux de recul ne sont plus chimiquement liés au composé contenant 98Mo, permettant une autre séparation spécifique. Les composés contenant 98Mo préférés sont le molybdène(0)hexacarbonyle [(Mo(CO)6] et le molybdène (VI) dioxodioxinate de [C4H3(O)-NC5H3)J2-MoO2.
