The invention relates to a process for the production of paper on a paper machine containing a dilution headbox in which a main aqueous flow containing cellulosic fibres and filler is mixed in said headbox with a diluting aqueous flow to form a resulting aqueous flow which is ejected onto a wire and dewatered to form a web of paper, wherein one or more components providing improved retention are introduced into the main aqueous flow and an additive resulting in slower dewatering and/or being selected from non-ionic and anionic organic polymers is introduced into the diluting aqueous flow.

Cette invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de papier, lequel fait appel à une machine à papier qui comprend une caisse de tête de dilution. Un flux aqueux principal contenant des fibres cellulosiques ainsi qu'une matière de charge est mélangé dans la caisse de tête à un flux aqueux de dilution, ceci de manière à obtenir un flux aqueux qui est éjecté sur une table plate puis déshydraté de manière à obtenir une bande de papier continue. Un ou plusieurs composants permettant d'améliorer la rétention sont introduits dans le flux aqueux principal, tandis qu'un additif qui permet de ralentir la déshydratation et/ou qui est choisi parmi des polymères organiques non ioniques et anioniques est ajouté au flux aqueux de dilution.
