A protective hood (1) that is of elastomer material, with a head section (2) and a neck section (4) that is adjacent at its upper end (3) to the head section (2) is to be so improved as to provide for a good fit of the protective hood for different head sizes. This problem has been solved in that the protective hood (1) is of an elastomer, gas-proof material that is made in one piece in a dipping process and which has a breaking strength of greater than or equal to 600% and a modulus 100% from 0.2 to 0.6 N/mm2; in that when the protective hood (1) is laid out flat the smallest inside width (9) of the neck section (4) is between 100 mm and 150 mm, the inside width (10) of the head section (2) starting from the neck section (4) is 2 to 2.5 times greater than the smallest width (9) of the neck section (4); and in that the height (11) of the neck section (2) is 2.5 to 3.5 times greater than the smallest width (9) of the neck section (4).
La présente invention vise un vêtement de protection ayant la forme d'une cagoule (1) fabriqué avec un matériau élastomère et constitué d'une section recouvrant la tête (2) et d'une section entourant le cou (4), voisine à son extrémité supérieure (3) de la section recouvrant la tête (2), et ayant été amélioré de manière à assurer un bon ajustement quelle que soit la taille de la tête de son utilisateur. Cet ajustement serré a été obtenu grâce à cette cagoule de protection (1) monopièce réalisée par trempage à partir d'un matériau élastomère étanche au gaz et assurant une résistance à la rupture égale ou supérieure à 600 % et un module de 100 % compris entre 0,2 et 0,6 N/mm2. Lorsque cette cagoule de protection (1) est posée à plat, la largeur intérieure (9) de la plus petite partie de la section du cou (4) est comprise entre 100 et 150 mm, la largeur intérieure de la section recouvrant la tête (2) au niveau de la section entourant le cou (4) est de deux fois à deux fois et demie plus grande que la largeur (9) de la plus petite partie de la section entourant le cou (4) et la hauteur (11) de la section entourant le cou (2) est de deux fois et demi à trois fois et demi plus grande que la largeur (9) de la plus petite partie de la section entourant le cou (4).
