A protective wire net comprises an array of longitudinal wires (12) arranged side by side and each intertwined with at least one respective adjacent longitudinal wire (12). Each of one or more longitudinal metal cables (14) is also intertwined with at least one adjacent longitudinal wire (12). One or more transverse wires (34) and/or metal cables (16) may also be provided, arranged in a transverse direction relative to the longitudinal wires (12) and outside intertwining regions (22) defined by portions (20) of adjacent longitudinal wires (12) which are bent around one another, the transverse wires (34) and/or metal cables (16) being intertwined or interlaced with one or more of the longitudinal wires (12).
L'invention concerne un grillage de protection comprenant un réseau de fils longitudinaux (12) disposés côte à côte, chaque fil étant entrelacé avec au moins un fil longitudinal (12) adjacent respectif. Un ou plusieurs câbles métalliques longitudinaux (14) sont chacun entrelacés avec au moins un fil longitudinal (12) adjacent. On peut également utiliser un ou plusieurs fils transversaux (34) et/ou câbles métalliques transversaux (16) disposés dans un sens transversal par rapport aux fils longitudinaux (12) et à l'extérieur de zones d'entrelacement (22) définies par des parties (20) de fils longitudinaux (12) adjacents pliés les uns autour des autres, les fils transversaux (34) et/ou les câbles métalliques transversaux (16) étant entrelacés avec l'un au moins des fils longitudinaux (12).
