A radio mode selectivity block (41) for a detector (1) for detecting a buried current carrying conductor comprises a plurality of beat frequency oscillators (53) to centre the bandwidth of detection of the detector (1) on target very low frequency (VLF) frequency bands. The frequencies of the beat frequency oscillators are chosen to fall within the VLF frequency bands used in a number of countries, so that the detector (1) can be used in radio mode in these countries without the need for local configuration.

L'invention concerne une unité (41) de sélection de mode radio destinée à un détecteur (1) servant à détecter un conducteur porteur de courant enfoui, qui comprend une pluralité d'oscillateurs (53) de fréquence de battement qui centrent la bande passante de détection du détecteur (1) sur des bandes de fréquence très basses (VLF) voulues. Les fréquences des d'oscillateurs de fréquence de battement sont choisies de manière à se situer dans les bandes de fréquence VLF utilisées dans plusieurs pays, de sorte que ce détecteur (1) peut être utilisé en mode radio dans ces pays sans nécessiter de configuration locale.
