The reactor (1) that is used to melt combustion residues incorporates a vertical partition wall (4) that incorporates return flow openings (7) and an overflow (6), wherein foamed slag is produced in the chamber (3) by the injection of gases through base nozzles (10) and the foam collapses in the second chamber (5) or the return flow channel. The liquid slag is drawn off through the taphole (11) after the desired conversion.

Ce réacteur (1) pour la fusion de résidus de combustion comporte une cloison verticale (4) présentant des ouvertures de retour (7) et un trop-plein (6). Dans la première chambre (3), un laitier mousseux est produit en insufflant des gaz par des tuyères de fond (10), la mousse s'affaissant dans la deuxième chambre (5) ou dans le canal de retour. Le laitier liquide est évacué par le trou à laitier (11) après réalisation de la transformation souhaitée.
