A screening apparatus for screening pulp suspensions comprises a housing (2), a screen basket (8) having a tubular mantle wall with screen apertures, the mantle wall dividing the interior of the housing into a central chamber (10) and an outer substantially annular chamber (14), and a rotor (26) arranged in the housing for providing pressure and suction pulses in the suspension to be screened along the mantle wall. At least one elongate support element (52; 53) connects the screen basket (8) to the housing (2) and at least one load sensor (58; 60; 66) is arranged on the support element for sensing the load exerted by the screen basket on the support element during operation of the apparatus. During operation, a control unit (62) controls at least one operating parameter, such as the consistency of the incoming suspension or rotational speed of the rotor, in response to signals from the load sensor.
L'invention concerne un appareil de tamisage destiné à tamiser des suspensions de pâte et comprenant un boîtier (2), un panier de tamis (8) possédant une paroi enveloppe tubulaire pourvue d'ouvertures de tamis, cette paroi enveloppe divisant l'intérieur du boîtier en une chambre centrale (10) et une chambre sensiblement annulaire (14), ainsi qu'un rotor (26) disposé dans le boîtier et servant à produire une pression et des impulsions d'aspiration dans la suspension à tamiser le long de la paroi enveloppe. Au moins un élément de support allongé (52, 53) relie le panier de tamis (8) au boîtier (2) et au moins un détecteur de charge (58, 60, 66) est disposé sur l'élément de support pendant le fonctionnement de cet appareil. En cours de fonctionnement, une unité de commande (62) commande au moins un paramètre de fonctionnement, tel que la consistance de la suspension entrante ou la vitesse de rotation du rotor, en réponse à des signaux en provenance du détecteur de charge.
