The invention provides a security device in particular for preventing unauthorised removal of a shopping trolley or the like from premises. The security device has a wheel mounted on a support body by an arm which pivots on the body. A latch arm retains the arm in a released position. The latch arm is engageable with trip buttons of the stop means at each exit of the premises to release the arm to move the arm rearwardly to engage a brake to lock the wheel. The arm is locked in the rearward brake engaging position by a pawl which engages a wheel mounting axle on the arm.

Un bras de verrouillage (10) maintient le bras pivotant (5) dans sa position de repos (voir le dessin). Le bras de verrouillage (10) peut coopérer avec des clous déclencheurs (100) ménagés dans le plancher à chacune des sorties du supermarché ou analogue, de manière à déplacer le bras pivotant (5) vers l'arrière pour serrer un frein et bloquer la roue (3). Le bras pivotant (5) est bloqué dans cette position de serrage du frein par un cliquet (125) entrant en prise avec un axe (4) de montage de la roue sur le bras pivotant (5).
