A seed tape (1) including successively arranged germinating units (la, l b, 1c). The seed tape includes at least one carrier strip (3) as well as at least one auxiliary layer (5) arranged thereon and made of a biodegradable, flexible, non-woven, film-like material. Locally, the auxiliary layer (5) can be interrupted over a short distance along the seed tape (1). Each germinating unit (la, l b, 1c) includes a mixture (6) of granulated carrier, at least one granulated additive and optionally an adjuvant in ad~dition to one or more seeds (7). This mixture (6) is kept together to form at least one core portion (8) in the germinating unit. The core portion (8) includes locally ad~hered bicomponent fibres (18) of one or more thermoplastic materials which form a coherent open network (8a) for keeping the granules (6a) of the mixture (5) and pos~sibly also one or more seeds (7) together. In this manner it is possible in a very sim~ple and reliable manner to retain the carrier, the additive and the adjuvant, if any.
L'invention concerne un ruban porte-graines (1) comprenant des unités de germination (la, l b, 1c) disposées successivement. Ledit ruban porte-graines comprend au moins une bande support (3) ainsi qu'une couche auxiliaire (5) disposée sur celle-ci et fabriquée dans une matière biodégradable, flexible, non tissée, de type film. La couche auxiliaire (5) peut être interrompue de manière locale sur une courte distance le long du ruban porte-graines (1). Chaque unité de germination (la, l b, 1c) comprend un mélange (6) de support granulé, au moins un additif granulé et éventuellement un adjuvant, en plus d'une ou plusieurs graines (7). Ledit mélange (6) est maintenu, de manière à former au moins une partie noyau (8) dans l'unité de germination, cette dernière comprenant localement des fibres (18) à bicomposants adhérées d'une ou plusieurs matières thermoplastiques, qui forment un réseau ouvert (8a) cohérent, ce qui permet de maintenir les granules (6a) du mélange (5) et plusieurs graines (7) ensembles. De cette manière, il est possible de retenir le support, l'additif et l'adjuvant, lorsque ces derniers sont présents.
