The invention relates to a self-propelled carriage suitable for traveling in a gallery of substantially cylindrical shape. The carriage comprises a chassis (1) made up of two wheel sets (14); a skip (10); and a horizontal longitudinal support axis (16) on which said skip is pivotally mounted. Each wheel set comprises two arms (24, 26) each having a first end pivotally mounted on one end of said axis; two rotary drive shafts (32) extend orthogonally to the support axis and are mounted at the opposite ends of the arms; drive means (38) for rotating said shafts; and two wheels (40, 42), each wheel comprising a hub (54) secured to a respective drive shaft, at least one circular disk secured to the hub, and having its periphery fitted with a plurality of rollers mounted to rotate freely about axes that are orthogonal to the axis of the wheel.
L'invention concerne un chariot automoteur apte à se déplacer dans une galerie de forme sensiblement cylindrique. Le chariot comprend un châssis (1) constitué par deux trains de roues (14); une benne (10); et un axe longitudinal (16) de supportage horizontal sur lequel est montée à pivotement ladite benne. Chaque train de roues comprend deux bras (24, 26), dont une première extrémité est montée à pivotement sur une extrémité dudit axe; deux arbres (32) d'entraînement en rotation, orthogonaux à l'axe de supportage et montés à la deuxième extrémité des bras; des moyens (38) d'entraînement en rotation desdits arbres; et deux roues (40, 42), chaque roue comportant un moyeu (54) solidaire d'un arbre, au moins un disque circulaire solidaire du moyeu et dont la périphérie est munie d'une pluralité de galets de roulement montés libres en rotation autour d'axes orthogonaux à l'arbre de la roue.
