An improved sleeping pillow of generally rectangular configuration having two longer sides and two relatively shorter sides comprising a center portion having a centrally disposed relatively deep cavity on an upper surface adapted to receive and support the rear of a user's head; a first side extension disposed on one of the two sides of the center portion and having a first recess on an upper surface of the first side extension adapted to receive and support a user's head; a second side extension disposed on the other of the two sides of the center portion and having a second recess on an upper surface of the second side extension adapted to receive and support the user's head; the improvement wherein (a) the center portion has (i) a first inner wall separating the first recess from the deep cavity; and (ii) a second inner wall separating the second recess from the deep cavity; (b) wherein the first side extension has an outer edge first portion parallel to the first inner wall and the second side extension has an outer edge second portion parallel to the second inner wall; and (c) wherein (i) the first recess has a sloped bottom first surface extending upwardly from the first inner wall to the first outer edge first portion; and (ii) the second recess has a sloped bottom second surface extending upwardly from the second inner wall to the second outer edge second portion. The pillow provides an alternative to the application of chemical or the like compositions to reduce the on-set of facial wrinkling or peri-occular swelling.
