A spray tower, more particularly for the spray drying/spray agglomeration of detergent ingredients or the like, the spray suspension being sprayed into the tower in the direction of gravity through spray nozzles arranged in different nozzle planes against the hot and swirling air flowing in countercurrent to the suspension, several nozzles being peripherally arranged in each nozzle plane, is intended to enable the energy used to be optimized and, in particular, hot spots to be avoided. The solution to this problem is characterized in that, in at least one nozzle plane, nozzles producing spray cones are peripherally arranged on substantially horizontal spray arms differing in length from one another.
